International and National Events:
In 2010 Prem Rawat spoke by invitation at 74 events in 43 cities in 17 different
countries, to audiences totalling more than three hundred and forty thousand.
Three of these events were held in the UK, in London, Newcastle and Birmingham.
The Charity was also able to contribute to the costs of convening events at
which Prem Rawat spoke in other parts of the world via its grants to the Event
Fund of Words of Peace Global.
Educational Materials and Broadcasts:
The Charity has continued to support the costs of television broadcasts of
Prem Rawat's presentations (under the title 'Words of Peace') on Sky television
(and also now on Freeview as from March 2010) and those of a dedicated
broadcast slot on Zee TV, one of the prime Hindi language channels in the UK.
These TV programmes are appreciated by many for their message of peace
and for the feeling of hope and understanding that many have said is to be
derived from watching the broadcasts, irrespective of whether this is followed
up by pursuing the Keys self learning process.
The Keys self learning process has been established in recent years for those that become interested in learning more about Prem Rawat's message. This comprises of a series of DVD presentations by Prem Rawat known as 'the Keys'. They provide a five stage step by step learning course that members of the public can receive (free of charge) by post or by collecting in person from local libraries managed by volunteers, and which they can then follow entirely at their own initiative and at their own pace. After the first five stages (or 'keys'), for those who are interested there is a sixth stage, Key 6 which results in a practical session where the techniques called 'Knowledge' are taught.
In addition to the Keys materials a range of other materials are made freely available for those with an interest in Prem Rawat's message.
Local Events:
Throughout the year Key 6 events are held for people who have completed the
Keys process. Almost all who come to these events express that they have
received great benefit, in terms of their individual well being, from having a
practical way, through self knowledge, to experience the feeling of peace
that exists in their own lives.
For those who have undertaken Key 6 and want to refresh their understanding
of the techniques regular 'Knowledge Review' sessions are made available
throughout the country on demand.
All these sessions are made available free of charge with costs covered by
the generous contributions of donors who wish others to benefit as they have.
Support Costs
These are costs relevant to the undertaking of charitable activities and include
an apportionment of such overheads, as premises and facilities, staff costs,
information technology and depreciation.
Other Costs & Deprecation:
Depreciation costs here relate to equipment and other items used solely for
charitable activities, such as events, as opposed to administrative or support
purposes.
